Fringe Safe

Fringe is for everyone, so we're committed to keeping everyone safe!

We want you to have a fun and exciting Fringe experience, while keeping everyone safe. We’re taking COVID-19 mitigation and safety processes very seriously to keep our artists, volunteers, staff, and patrons safe. But we need your help and cooperation to make Fringe safe for everyone:

1. Wear your Mask
We look forward to seeing you smile (with your eyes). Keep your mask on at all times in our indoor spaces, including during the show. Please note: Mask requirement applies to those under 12.
Masks are not required outside at our food trucks or during outdoor events but are recommended.

2. Have your Proof of Vaccination Ready
While our artists on stage love to "break the rules" there are certain ones we need everyone to follow for the safety of all patrons. As mandated by the BC Provincial Government, to participate in our festival, you will need to show proof you have at least one dose of an approved Covid-19 vaccine. All patrons (unless under 12), artists, volunteers, staff, and vendors are all required to be vaccinated.

3. Keep a Respectful and Safe Distance
We're so happy to see you... from six feet away. It's been a long time where we've been apart and the return to indoor events and the idea of being in crowds may be a bit overwhelming. We’ve taken special precautions to ensure fringers can maintain a respectful distance inside our venues. Please be mindful of the people around you.

4. Wash Your Hands and Sanitize
We know, that you know the drill.
Washing your hands with soap and water is one of the best ways to fight off germs. If that isn't an option, sanitizer will do. We will have sanitizer stationed around all our venues and volunteers to direct you to the nearest washrooms.

5. If You're Not Feeling Well, Please Stay Home
If you're feeling under the weather at any point in your fringe experience, please head home.
It's important that we don't put anyone at risk. We have two amazing Fringe shows you can stream online from the comfort of your own bed so that you don't have to miss out on the action, even if you aren't there.

6. Support Each Other
Let's make everyone's experience memorable, in a good way.  We love you fringers, and we’re excited to welcome you back. We’re in this together. Please be kind to volunteers and staff as we work to create the best environment that we can for everyone. By looking after each other we can ensure an awesome fringe experience for everyone.
